CONVOCATIONS
Cathy Morris can bring education and
entertainment to your school all in one
performance! With her band Collage she is
able to leave lasting impressions on students
K - College that will inspire and motivate.

WORKSHOPS
For a more intimate “hands-on” visit and
in-depth look at string instruments and their
stylistic possibilities Cathy offers students an
opportunity to experience electric instruments
up close while introducing them to numerous
alternative players and music associates
with string instruments.

RESIDENCIES / CLINICS
FOR PLAYERS
Freestyle, the blues, rock and pop
improvising, they are all covered for even
the youngest of players. Cathy’s developed
a method built on fun that builds confidence
and allows everyone to find their own
comfortable place in the world of
improvisation.

COLLABORATIVE CONCERTS
The side by side collaborative concert with
Cathy’s orchestrated originals allows the
student players to actually become a part of
the band! By making music along side Cathy
and her rhythm section students experience
playing songs with Latin, rock, swing and
funk grooves that give them a whole new way
to approach playing! Back up comping,
written out and improvised solos, open
vamps, stylistic nuances, implied articulations
and new terminology are all a part of the
adventure.

                        Decipher charts: realize symbols and
                        their meaning in a variety of different
                        styles plus sightread alternative music.
